Chris handles a variety of cases including wrongful death, civil rights, and shootings or sexual assaults. Some of his notable results include having won the first billion-dollar jury verdict in U.S. history for a rape victim, a record $5.1 million negligent security settlement, the first $1.5 million jury verdict in rural Camden County, three record civil rights settlements, and Minnesota’s largest trampoline park injury settlement for $3 million dollars.
Chris is also recognized worldwide for his civil rights cases including Walter Scott, who was shot in the back on video by a police officer that settled for $6.5 million dollars, the highest in South Carolina history. He also represents some of the nation’s highest profile civil rights death cases including Alton Sterling who was killed on video by police in Baton Rouge. Attorney Stewart holds five record jury verdicts in Georgia and is regarded as one of the nation’s top injury trial lawyers.
Chris has been honored to receive numerous legal and civic awards. Attorney Stewart is one of the most decorated African-American lawyers in the country having received the 2019 Southern Center For Human Rights Vanguard Award, 2018 Julia Humbles’ Civil Rights Award, the National Bar Association’s Wiley Branton Award for Leadership, the 2018 Outstanding Citizen Award for the State of Georgia, the 2018 Georgia Senate Outstanding Public Service Proclamation, the 2018 Pinnacle Leadership Award, the 2018 Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Chairman’s Award, the 2016 recipient of the R.E. Thomas Civil Rights Award, the first and only African-American voted 2016 Attorney of the Year for the State of Georgia, and the 2014 Esquire Award.
Michael T. Roth

Michael is a trial attorney at Stewart Trial Attorneys, LLC where he represents victims of tractor-trailer accidents, auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, civil rights, and shootings or sexual assaults. Prior to joining the firm, Michael clerked for a judge in the Superior Court of Fulton County and worked at a plaintiff’s firm representing individuals injured in auto accidents and premises liability cases. Michael has helped obtain over $3 million in total recovery since joining the bar in 2016.
Michael was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2012. Following undergraduate, Michael earned his J.D. from the Georgia State College of Law in 2016. While in law school, Michael held clerkships at two criminal defense firms, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, and a well-respected plaintiffs firm helping represent victims of tractor-trailer accidents, auto accidents, and premises liability arising out of catastrophic accidents.
Michael has been acknowledged in legal publications including: Trial Practice Manual (2016); Trial Handbook for Georgia Lawyers, 2015-2016 Edition (2015); Carlson on Evidence: Comparing Georgia Rules and Federal Rules, 4th Edition (2015); and the Georgia chapter of a state law compendium for a national truck accident lawyer organization.
Michael takes pride in making sure that his clients receive fair value for their cases and is not afraid to take a case to a jury trial when they do not. When he’s not practicing law, Michael enjoys playing sports, traveling, watching movies, and supporting his Atlanta Braves and Indiana Hoosiers.
Joshua E. Palmer

Joshua E. Palmer was born in Macon, GA and raised in Warner Robins, GA. After graduating from Warner Robins High School, Josh went on to receive his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University and his law degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. Over the years, Josh has had the privilege of working on multimillion-dollar cases for some of the top law firms in the country, most notably the Willie Gary Firm. Additionally, Josh had the opportunity to represent several celebrity clients in Atlanta while practicing entertainment law with the Weems Firm. Attorney Palmer has also worked for one of the largest personal injury firms in Georgia, providing service to Atlanta, Macon, Savannah, Columbus, Augusta, Albany, Valdosta, and Athens.
In high school, Josh Palmer was active in many organizations and sports. Most notably, Josh Palmer played middle linebacker for the 2005 Warner Robins State Championship football team. While attending NCCU Law School, Josh was active in its mock trial program. In fact, Josh’s team was a regional finalist in the AAJ Trial Competition, beating all surrounding law schools. Josh was also an active member of the Black Lawyer Association. Today, Josh enjoys mentoring students and teaching them the tools for success. He often serves as a guest speaker for civic and church groups. Currently, Josh is a member of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church, NAACP, and Georgia Bar.
